Default Window motor Dead

So my drivers side window motor went dead today I do beleive. We shall find out in the morning. I did a search but couldn't find out the following: Are there any FASTER window motors we can use in our cars?

I've heard of people using like S-10 windows and such, or something down that road, but do those fit in the stock mounting points? Or should I just go with the Autozone motor?

You probably won't find anything faster than the stock or Autozone one. Pretty easy install, not to much work involved. Took be about 45min - 1 hour to do. I got the Siemens one from Autozone, works just like stock except a little noisier.

Silver6sp yea, I found the site that does the photo step-by-step, that was featured in GMHP. Was hoping that wasn't the case Ferocity02, these motors are slow as crap. Anyhow, thanks a bunch guys.

replace now before you cant roll it up. it is going bad. also roll your windows up with the door open, saves the motors a lot.

I just replaced mine a few weeks ago with a Siemens unit from AutoZone. Works great.

Mine started being sometimes flaky (only going up or down part of the way)... then it went mostly flaky... Then it got to the point where I didn't want to roll it down at the dragstrip for fear of it not going back up when I was ready to stage. I was opening the door to get the timeslips, etc. That sucks. All better now tho.
