Hey and thanks for reading this post. I'm sure it is very generic but not something I can really find an answer for on the net.

I need a cathedral intake. Can anyone tell me exactly what models and years camaros and vettes I can look for? Is every intake for those specific years cathedral, or do I need to be selective within those years.

Someone is building my motor and told me I need a cathedral intake.

98-02 Camaro/firebird with LS1 engine, or 97-04 corvette with LS1 or LS6 engine.
For a factory intake manifold go with the LS6 intake, it had a lower floor and make a good 10 hp more than the LS1 intake. If you're buying a used intake make sure you know what to look for since the two intakes look very similar except for the bottom.
FYI, 2001 on up Camaro/firebird and Corvette come with the LS6 intake, and the bottom is flat; NOT lower in the center.

Thanks BluZ... Pictures are worth 1,000 words. If I can ask you this...
Are all of those intakes in the pictures cathedral ports? The port looks rectangular, but I am guessing the intake inside the rectangles has the cathedral look. Correct?

Yes the ports are considered cathedral, even though the intake ports look rectangular.
The LS1 & 6 heads (853, 241, 243...) themselves have the cathedral port.

I know you asked for Vettes & fbodies but...
The GTO also came with the LS6, I'm not sure of the years.
Trucks also had cathederal ports, also not sure of the years.
