Intro and price/value question!
Hi all, I really enjoy the site. I've been lurking around the
site for about a month and have found it to be very helpful. Anyway I decided to register due to the fact
I purchased my 1st. f-body today, it's an 01 t/a A4 with
34,000 miles. The purchase price was $17,990 from a local dealer in B'ham,AL. I wanted some feedback
on the price from some of you guy's. As far as the intro
I'm a 27yo. recent college graduate soon to be working
as an RN. After 8yrs. as a CNC machinist I needed a career change. Oh, yeah as you can tell by my purchase
I'm an f-body lover. It started when I 1st. drove my parents 84 t/a as a teenager. I've wanted one ever since
then, and have finally indulged myself. Thanks in advance
for the replies and keep up the informative posts.
P.S. sorry for being long winded and for grammatical errors, you would think english was my second language.

Congratulations on the purchase.. Don't worry about the price that you paid for the car.. If it's what you wanted, and you're happy then that's all that matters..
There will always be a better deal out there somewhere... Trust me.. I know..

I ordered my car having only seen pictures and knowing it came with an LS1 - fully expecting to pay MSRP. I ended up getting 2k off of that, but have had the car for 2 months and love it to death - I honestly wouldn't change it for any car under 55-60k. As Z28venom said - if you enjoy it - it's a good deal.
Congrat's on the purchase.

Welcome to the site. Always glad to see another T/A.
I got my 2001 WS6 in Nov of 2002 and paid 23k plus extended warranty and stuff for 25k. Not bad considering in 2001 it sold for 37k, gotta love 0% financing it kills blue book.
I think 17k for your 01' T/A is right. It all depends on how they are selling in your area. You can check out NADA or Kelley but they can be off according to your specific local.
Again, welcome to the site.
