Tranny coolers
Im new to the site and wanted to ask for some input on Transmission Coolers. I have a 1999 WS6 with a pile of parts to install. I am waiting till I get all the parts I need / want to install at once. I have the 4L60E and am needing some good Coolers that bolt on without to many headaches. Any help would be great. Ty in advance.

I have a Hayden 679. It's done the job nicely, came with install hardware (most will) fit great with a traditional mount on the AC Condenser. I have a 3600 stall 2.35 STR.

I have a B&M stacked plate style cooler mounted to the body just in front of the A/C condenser. The cooler is great, I have used these on several cars over the years, but the hose that comes with it isn't the right size if you want to connect to the factory hard pipe. B&M supplies 11/32" hose, but you need 5/16" for the proper (and most secure) fit over the factory line. The 5/16" hose will strech to fit over the nipples on the cooler.
I also have a tube & fin style cooler on my '71, but only because the car came with it and somebody had already built a nice mounting bracket for it. Generally, if I were buying it myself I would go with the stacked plate style unless the mounting or hose connection points weren't pratical for the application.
