Default 1999 HOSS Center Stripe factory option?

I'm thinking of purchasing a 99 HOSS with center striping. I've seen this paint scheme before, but had never heard of it being from the factory. Apparently the clear coat is over the stripe, indicating that it could come from the factory.

Does anyone know if this was even a factory option? Any information would be much appreciated. Pictures included. Thanks!

Not a factory option. That is a case of not wanting to ever worry about the condition of the stripe deteriorating. A plus if the buyer likes the stripe... but makes it difficult to remove!

Agree

As an FYI to the OP, that style stripe is referred to as a "manta" stripe.

Thanks, guys! I think I'm going to pass on the car, however. Given the fact that the stripes are a dealer-installed option, the collector value there is minimal.

I believe it may have been GMMG for the ZL1 cars.
