MX442

New to LSx and this forum, and have some questions. I'm looking at buying an abandoned project truck that comes with a 2007 5.3/4l60e from a Tahoe. I'm assuming it is a LY5.

Is this a good start for a hot rod engine? Anything I should do to it, or drop it in and run it stock? I don't know where to start. I don't want to spend a lot on mods, but want a nice running street cruiser hot rod.

Ideas? Comments?
