Default Newly Purchased TA

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and just purchased a 1999 Trans Am with 78,000 miles on it. Mods include pacesetter longtubes, off-road y pipe, SLP LM1, underdrive pulley, ram air intake, LS6 intake, EGR removed, ported throttle body and MAF, stage 3 shift kit, and UMI performance suspension parts.

The issues I'm working through right now are the low coolant light stays on even though the tank and radiator are almost over filled. I'm guessing this could be a faulty or gummed up sensor? I'm also working through the AC not getting cold. The compressor and clutch are spinning, but I haven't gotten any gauges on the system yet. If anyone has any advice on these issues or pointers I'd appreciate it. Also, if you have any ideas for the next mods, please let me know! Thanks and I'm glad to be a part of the forum.

For the low coolant light. The sensors go out very common. Just unplug it. It is directly down from the filler neck on the radiator if I remember correctly. Once you unplug it the light will got away.

So I recharged the AC system and its blowing cold air for now. If it doesn't last very long, I'll try to dye method to look for leaks.

For the coolant sensor, is there a certain brand people like to use? I'd hate to just leave it unplugged, although the light being on is pretty useless to me at this point.

Welcome to LS1 tech, the coolant level sensor is probably bad. it also sounds like the
refrigerant may be low.
