C5's are getting so .....
...cheap. I'm thinking why not buy one? Does the IRS cause a lot of wheel hop at the track/street ? I'm not too deep into my SS that I'm going to lose my shirt. Plus they look like the new Vette. A C-5 with a loud and lopey idle is SICK. Anyone with me on this one

its mainly the 5year old ones + that are getting cheap.
its harder to get a decent loan on a car that old, thats the maindrawback most people face.
If the prices were now, what they were when i bought my car, i would get a vette, but it was $27K for a C5, not the $22 they are now. (average prices, that i've seen for older C5's, decent miles/condition)
Since i only owe $6800 on my car... no sense buying a new toy,
Ryan.

They're selling some of the new C5's in this area starting at 36,XXX. They're just trying to get them off the lot. If my fiance and I hadn't both bought fbody's within the last 2 years, we'd probably be at the dealer talking to them.
We'll just have to wait though until about 2007/2008 when the fbody's are paid off, then take our pick between a used C5 or a used C6.
