Default Getting a c5 into the mid 10's...what does it take?

I'm wanting a mid 10 second car at the strip...looking at either getting a 4th gen trans am or c5 vette but my question is about the vette. I've spent a little bit of time researching but haven't found a straight up answer.

If I want a 10 second vette, I believe I'm looking to make around 500-600 rwhp. What are the suspension and transmission requirements for this amount of power? If I need a better rear end, would I need to replace the IRS with a solid axle design to better transfer the power?

I'm also wondering if the auto trans will handle this much power or if I'd need to build it. I'd feel more confident with a t56 and an upgraded clutch...but I'm wondering which transmission will be more dependable/inexpensive to get to those numbers.

Thanks for your opinions and experience in advance.

about 450 rwhp will get you high 10s. the right cam and stall ,and rear gears is needed . and you need the right suspension parts .copy some body who is already running 10s.
