R/T times in relation to QM times
Quick question. Say I have .500 reaction time and a 13.500 quarter mile time. Is my car's true quarter mile time 13.00 because it took me .500 to react and get the car moving? Any insight on this is appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!

What apathy said, the clock does not start counting until you leave, reaction time has nothing to do with your elapsed time. But if you are bracket racing or racing some one in the other lane, reation time means alot, he could run a 13.05 and you run a 13.00 but he would beat you if he cut a .500 light and you cut a .560 light, he would win but you would have the quicker time.

Like the others said, it has nothing to do with your actual ET. You could have a 5 second RT if you wanted and still run the time your car normally runs. People might get a bit anxious if you sit at the line for an extra 5 seconds though.

Yelp just like the other said, the only time your reaction matters is when you are racing someone either head up or bracket racing. But for the best e.t. get thsoe 60ft's down as low as possible and don't miss any gears if you have a m6.
