Default DS Loop question

Hey all, quick question.

I want to get a DS Loop since I plan on running Kooks headers/TDs, and I just wanted to make sure that what I was seeing was correct; in that the DSL's replace/are bolted onto the same bracket that the tunnel brace is.

Also, if my above assumption is correct, would one of the DSL's that tucks up into the tunnel itself (such as the one from MWC) does it still provide the same structural support the tunnel brace does, or would I need to run something in tandem with that?

Thanks!

The tunnel "brace" provides less "support" than any
aftermarket driveshaft loop - it's a flimsy joke of a
stamping. But all DSLs I've seen, other than those
that are part of a short torque arm crossbar setup,
use those same mounting points.

Alright, and could anyone confirm that the mounting brackets for a convertible are different? I was told by a rep at BMR that the mounting holes are different, but a guy at UMI told me theirs would fit no problem. I looked up some pics and they seem the same

That tunnel brace is dead weight. Most people never reinstall after headers. I was personally going to go with a Lakewood brace that tucked up in the tunnel before I sold my car.

i have a vert and i bought but never used this slp H looking bracket that allowed for headers. instead i bought an SLP drive shaft safety loop that bolted in standard location and my only issue is the torque arm sometimes touches / rattles .
