What are some of you guys using for brakes on your ford 9"? I have a guy building me a ford 9". He builds them for drag cars and does a outstanding job!. I , but I don't really want to spend 600 bucks on just rear wilwood brakes. He said its very complicated and nearly impossible (but can still be done with lots of work) to make my stock brakes fit a ford 9". My car is a weekend driver/(going to be a 10 second drag car on the side). lol I was just curious as to what you guys use for rear brakes?

Stock...most companies want you to send in your 10bolt backing plates or they will charge $200+ IF they can get them.

Hmmm. Well I may see if he can go that route. He said it can be done but its a super pain in the you know what... This guys rear ends hold up wonderful, I've seen 2 different 3rd gen rears that he built go sub 1.4s 60s all day with no problem. Plus he lives right down the road from me;p

This guy isn't a company either. He has a big garage in his back yard. He has a freakin machine shop to do cnc heads, and anything else that has to do with an engine, tranny, or anything. Im jelous of his setup.

I have factory LT1 brake on my Moser 9" housing (if you use the Moser housing ends for 4th gen Fbody they bolt right in. No *** pains). Plus (I don't know what car this is going in) if you run LT1 brakes, there will be next to nothing to grind to fit 15" drag wheels.
