Default Flowmaster install question! Help

Im wanting to buy Super 10's for my Camaro and I was just kinda confused if I needed to buy the full exhaust system because of how my current setup is (Dual tips on one side) or can I just buy the super 10 muffler and add it to my current setup and if I did would I need 2 of them?

Your current setup is an SLP catback commonly referred to as "2OTL" (Two on the left), this catback was offered on early 4th gen SS models as well as being available via SLP's aftermarket retail program.

It consists of a single inlet, dual outlet (same side) muffler.

If you want to make a FM 10-series muffler work with this system, you can weld it in place of the current muffler and use the existing intermediate pipe for the inlet, but you'll only be able to run one tail pipe for the outlet (unless Flowmaster is now making 10-series mufflers with dual outlets, but I don't think they are).

If you want two mufflers and two tail pipes, you'd be looking at some sort of true dual system, in which case you'd have to replace the whole system since the current setup is designed and routed for a single I-pipe, single muffler inlet.

Before you go cutting things up you may want to research the 2OTL exhaust, as its pretty rare, flows well and many value it as a truly good catback.

^^this. I've seen them advertised locally for as much as aftermarket systems. No idea if they actually get that much, but there seems to be some demand for them.

IMO, if you do remove the 2OTL muffler cut the inlet and outlet pipe about 1.5"-2" out from the muffler body. You'll also need a length of 3" diameter straight pipe since the muffler body is noticeably shorter than the 2OTL muffler is.
Part number for the FM10 muffler is #8430152 , I'd also consider the FM Super 44
#9430452.
