Props to all the drag racers!
Last night was my first time at a dragstrip, and i do have to say, racing requires more skill than i realized! im too embarrassed to put my numbers up, but i wanted to say you guys deserve some props. keep it up!

Yep it's all about seat time... with practice you'll keep getting better. You're already better than every magazine racer out there by just getting out on the track!
My first time out, I couldn't turn anything faster than 13.7, and most of my runs were in the 14.0-14.2 range back when I was mostly stock (lid & cutout). But as I've gotten more and more used to driving at the track, my times keep getting faster and faster. Just yesterday I turned my best ET (time in sig).

tell me about, my first time in at the track..i only had 3 runs where i didn't miss shift (stupid stock shifter...). I went from a 14.2 down to a 14 down to a 13.7 down to a 13.3. If that isn't progress I don't know what is. You just have to keep at it, learn ur car.
