2000 SS radiator question - What's this?

Default 2000 SS radiator question - What's this?
I recently bought an aftermarket radiator for my 2000 Camaro SS and my mechanic tells me I'm missing this connector. On my J2 radiator there's just a empty spot. What is it, and what is it for? And why wouldn't my radiator that's supposed to be for my car have it?

Its for your steam vents in the heads and the throttle body. Your current radiator should have that port.
