Default Texas speed headers questions

Hi. I have a bone bone stock 38k mile z28 as I mentioned before. My question is Texas speed headers are on sale right now and I would like to take advantage of the savings. My questions are will there be negative effects of running a 1 7/8 headers on a stock motor? What will I have to delete to run long tubes. And how will that effect anything. Also has anyone run them with a stock exhaust? Will they fit ok? And would the tr55 plugs be the right ones?

Get 1 7/8" for sure, do it once and the right way. You will have to delete a code if you get the 'race' headers with no air or egr. Won't effect anything, just useless emissions junk. It will fit fine with stock exhaust connecting to the 'I' pipe.

There will be no negative effects using 1 7/8" TSP headers on an otherwise bone stock car. Like Brnt said, there will a code to delete using the 'race' headers with no air or egr. And they fit well. TR55 plugs will be a good choice.

The TSP headers come with no provision for air and egr so u don't have to block anything just tear the old stuff out and take the car to a local tuner to have the codes tuned out or do a mail order tune.

I also suggest doing the motor mounts while your thier If you haven't already makes life easier as well as some new plugs if its time for a change.
