Default Grey smoke while idling.

I have a quick question about my 99 SS. I have noticed some smoke while idling, the mods are kooks headers, comp cam, and 3" exaust. The car has 100k miles with a auto trans. It smells like fuel with maby a slight oil smell also the car has not been tuned yet. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks..

Light grey to white? Coolant. Head gasket. Dark grey to black? Fuel. Tune or tune-up. Blue-ish? Oil. Valve seals/guides/ or rings. That's my knee-jerk guide to smoke out the tailpipe. Could be a combo of many or somewhere in between and that gets fun.

Its a dark color of smoke with a fuel smell, I have been checking the oil and it has not lost any oil that I can tell. Hopefully it is something simple. I will change the plugs after the tune and also the front O2 sensors.. If that dosent work looks like it will time to spend some $$$

UPDATE.... Well I found out today that my valve seals are going out on the ole 5.7. So that is my next project that I will be taken care of. I did get to get my combo tuned at Competition Auto in Fayettiville NC and it made 353hp and 419tq. I guess im pretty happy with that for now for what it is.

Nice numbers and a relatively cheap fix. Not bad!
