Too much coolant Fix?
If I have too much coolant in my coolant recovery tank will letting some coolant out of the radiator drain chock allow things to even out?
I don't understand how a recovery tank works. Will the coolant system retrieve coolant from the tank when it needs it?
Thanks Alot!

I believe that because it's a system under pressure, the tube from the radiator neck to the overfill tank will suction what it needs if it is low. However I would suggest using one of those "turkey baster (sp) juice sucker things, and just siphon a little out of the overfill tank to avoid inducing any air into the system.

If it's really too much, then a hot drive or two will
overflow the overflow tank, puke onto the blacktop,
and then it's basically left filled to max.
The radiator cap is a pressure-cracked check valve
that lets coolant out at (say) >14PSI but lets it draw
back at zero / vacuum as it cools back down.
