Like JRP said, everything. Everything from the LS1 being an aluminum block and the LT1 being an iron block. Oh, and about 75 horses

0.4L? Both are labelled as 5.7L engines. The LT1 is 350ci, the LS1 is 346ci.

The LS1 typically makes about 50 more rwhp than the LT1 (due to better heads and cam for the most part)

The official factory rating on the LT1 is 275hp for the 93-95 f-body, 285hp for the 96-97 (due to dual cats) The rating for the LS1 is 305hp, but that's underrated big time, it's closer to 340-350hp.

The LT1 uses reverse flow cooling, and has a 10.5 to 1 compression ratio, while the LS1 uses the conventional flow cooling and has a 10.1 to 1 compression ratio.

The LS1 uses an aluminum block and aluminum heads, and a nylon composite intake. The LT1 uses an iron block and aluminum heads and an aluminum intake (which heat soaks very easily)

The LS1 is about 70lbs less than the LT1 (mostly due to the aluminum block)

The LT1 uses a dual butterfly throttle body while the LS1 uses a single large butterfly TB.

I'm sure others will add more info.

The LS1 is a totally different animal than any Chevy motor ever built. Oil pump, symetrical ports in heads, crossover intake runners, alot.

Hard to hear the sound of an LT1 if you are in front of it.

I had my LT1 on the dyno a couple of weeks ago and it sounded incredible, the 2OTL exhaust really makes it sound great.

I still have a video clip of my old LS1 on the dyno with an open cutout and it sounds good too, but not as nice as the LT1. My LS1 was exactly one second quicker in the quarter mile though, so I think I'd rather have that back.

I remember a friend of mine had a 94 TA, so I assume he had an LTi since the LS1 wasn't out until later. He said that he had around 350 horsepower in it, but all he had done to it was a K&N filter, a Power Programmer, and new exhaust. So he must have been being a little liberal. Also, you said that the rating for the LS1 is 305, which is what I found documented...but you believe that it is closer to 340-350 stock? Thanks.

I like LT1's, but put the two side by side at a 60punch to deep in the triple digits and there is no comparison.
