Default Need help ASAP!

I've been driving my car to work (01 Firehawk) the last couple days, and the wheel shakes really bad when I come to a stop. Not really bad, but I'm very **** about these things. Anyways I'm gonna get new brakes on it today, and I have a set of the really expensive pads from AC/Delco the ones that dont emmit brake dust, but they were for my 1999 V6 Firebird. Will they fit on my 01 LS1? Thanks guys

Brandon

Yep, the firebird has the same brake setup. Your rotors are warped, maybe get a set from one of our sponsors?

iRotors or Wholesale Direct.

How much will it cost me if I have them grind the old ones down a little.

Don't do that, the stock ones suck and will just warp again in a couple thousand miles. If you want to save money big time, get a set of Autozone rotors, they are like $35 each and last much better than stock ones.

I have to for now I'm doing a full H/C, full exhaust, 12-bolt rear end, and clutch the end of this year so when i do everything, I'll go ahead and add in some new sloted rotors, and full aftermarket brake kit. Now I just need to find somthing to last me over the summer.

My warpage comes and goes. You might get lucky and
a good pulldown from 100MPH followed by a slow cool
put them back straighter. Or not. Maybe you just live
with it, if you want cheap cheap.

turning stock rotors is a waste of money, get the AutoZone ones. Probably cost you the same as having them turned.

The dealership wanted like 50 bucks to turn the front rotors on my 01 Z. Ripoff.
