SSRA Jaws, better or worse off?
So I finally ordered a regular SSRA kit, and the owner emailed me telling me that he had ran out of the regular lower scoops, so he included a "Jaws" lower scoop for no additional cost. Cool! Anyways, how does this newer style compare to the regular SSRA scoop? There aren't any recent reviews on them both. He offered to pay for the return shipping and send me a regular one when he gets more if I decide I don't like it. I could fab up a quick release screw to hold the scoop shut full time when driving normal, then have it opening when I go to the track if I want. What's some input on the effectiveness of the Jaws vs regular?

Well I don't think many people are running the jaws version. The only negative I can think of with it would be it could be easier to catch the "jaw" on something in the road at speed. But if you were to hit something big enough to catch it, I'd imagine it would be the least of your problems

If I caught it, you are right, it would be the least of my worries. That's why I would rig up a latch to keep it shut, then I could open it up at the track. I'm only getting the Jaws scoop because he ran out of regular versions. I'm gonna have to decide if I should send it back to get a regular scoop.

Yeah I saw that vid on YouTube a while back, pretty neat. But if I was going ssra I wudnt go jaws. Just fear of snagging a stick or some **** and tearing it up.
