So here is the deal I have a 99 camaro ss with ls1 and t56 with 121000miles I am getting close to due for a oil change but does not need it since I have put 4 quarts in it since my last oil change I am running 5w 30 mobil 1 I have been putting high mileage 10w40 in lately it the car is not leaking never since oil on the ground I do drive pretty hard and its smokes right after start white not terrible but when WOT it smokes any ideas ?

How long has it been using (that much) oil? Has it gotten progressively worse?

What do the plugs look like?

how many miles do you go between changes ? I am currently d.d. ing my stock 98 on a 100 mi per day highway commute and its down a qt at 3,000 miles , 141,000 miles on car while my m6 bolt on car with 243,000 will use a quart every thousand or so but if I were using it on the same highway commute I bet it would be closer to 2k before needing a qt.

How long between changes and what type of driving influence how abnormal your oil use may be, if your using 4 quarts every 3-5k that's heavy for only 140 k
