Default Better heads for 01 5.3 Silverado?

I'm looking to see if it's worth to spend money building my stock 799 heads on my 5.3 port and polish and maybe a valve upgrade? Or is it worth it doing work on another head? While keeping a daily driver attitude and not having insane compression?

stock 5.3 heads will outflow the motor unless you are running a wicked cam.... What cam will you be running?

I would just send the stockers out for porting.

I'll be running the Brian Tooley Racing Truck Cam Stage 3! I heard they are pretty good for the LS motors and also about the only place were there are reasonable priced truck cams. Specs are 218/224 .553/.553 113+3 Unless you have a bother suggestion about the cam but I picked that cause it's still kinda good torque for a truck and I have a extended cab Silverado with 3.73 2wd
