Default New guy

checking in from Nor Cal to say Hi. I had a lightly modded 99 Z28 till late last year and then got a new GTO. I attached the last pic of the Z28 I took and most recent of the GTO.

Welcome to the site!!! Those are some sweet cars you have... and had. I saw my 1st GTO on the street today, couldn't really get a good look at it because it was going in the opposite direction but it was a pretty cool blue color that I had never seen before. So how does it feel power wise compared to the modded Z??? What mods do you plan on with the new GTO??

The modded Z28 was faster but the GTO would have no problem running with a stock one. I'm going to wait a little while and give the after market some time to prove itself before I do anything to the GTO.

A4, I liked how it shifted when I drove it. It leaves a nice patch and chirps on the 1 to 2 shift. I kinda miss the M6 from the Z28 but the A4 is fun to drive too.

I fell in love with the m6 because of the squall 1 to 2 and the chirp 2 to 3

I'd be bored stiff driving an automatic - but that's just me.
The guys over at ls1gto.com have had some good luck with hptuners or the predator in laying off the torque management a bit and getting even better performance out of the A4's.

I used to feel the same way when I had a M6 in the last car but after breaking 2 of em and all the other probs I had with it I don't feel that way anymore.
