OBD2...scanner...bluetooth android...data logging.
I need some help so i can buy what i need and get it right the first time.
The last scanner i owned was an old snap on brick style that got loaned to a friend that grew legs and walked away.
Tech has come along way since my Freightliner tech days. No longer do we need special serial/parallel port boxes to chat with ecm's err pcm's.
I would like something that is capable of reading/clearing codes and logging data. I would like to know if there is some kind of blue tooth option so i can use my android phone as that would be the best route to go since i have no plans currently to learn how to tune myself. However i do understand how important it is to log data so those that have the knowledge have something to work with.
So...what do the experts recommend?

plx might work
I recently was in the market for a badass scanner. I ended up buying the snap-on modis eems300. During my research I contacted plx here's their response to me by email;
"If your using Android, you'd need the Kiwi BT(BlueTooth). As for data logging without a connection, you cannot without connecting to your laptop. I hope this answered your question. If it didn't, contact me. Thanks for considering PLX Devices, and have a great day."
They are supposed to have the most modern BT code reader. There is a review of the Uscan by eric the car guy on youtube. I hope this helps your research.

Will do. Just fired her up this am. Got lucky and since its raining a few people haven't showed for their appointment at the exhaust shop so she is there now. She did not like being driven with no pipes...lol.
