My first ls build
Hi my name is Allen . I have a stock 5.3 and I'm going to build it to about 500 hp and wondering which cam and what valve springs work the best . I'm trying to come up with the best combination for the money . Any suggestions would be appreciated it's going into a front wheel drive car and I'm making it rear wheel drive .

im kinda in the same situation i just bought my first ls car (98z28) and would like to get as close to 500 out of it as possible without doing head work ive heard that the ls1 can make some pretty good numbers with just a cam headers full exhaust and a few supporting mods what would be a good cam to get for a build like this and still be a dd

I don't mind who ever wants to ask questions for their own benefit it could help me to. All I have so far for my build is a stock motor , ford 9" , and a 2000 pound car. I have everything to make the front and rear suspension . Just trying to decide on a strong 2 link or 4 link in the rear. I'm probably going to make it a turbo motor and it will be able to hold a 10" slick in the rear but it will be able to be a sleeper also. I appreciate any help or past experience that will help me out.
