Default Newbie's wheel question

I have wanted the y2k vette rims for my TA for awhile, and now finally have the funds put together. I am figuring to go with a company from Sarasota,Florida off ebay. He offers a set of 17 8.5'' all around, since these are the sizes that come on the front of the vette's stock. Or do I hold out and spend a considerable amount more for 17 9.5''? The only benefit I see is that I will be able to run a 315 in back with the 9.5'' instead of a 275 with a 8.5''. What should I do? Is it worth the extra amount? Thanks for any opinions

17x8.5 will look ridiculous on your T/A. T/A's have wider fenders than camaro's and require wider wheels to look good. 8.5" is NOT wide enough. Save up and get something wider for the back.

I second what he said. Go big or stay home! Don't settle for something you will end up not being happy with. Just save up and get what you really want.
