Default Best way to go with ls1

Hi everyone , I have an impala 96 with ls1 bolts-on and t56 trans I try to find the best opinion to get 500 rwhp with 2 important things : 1- daily car . 2- lowest budget (open budget but i don't like to spend money unless i'm sure what i'm doing ). I can't swap my engin to 6.0 or any bigger engin , i don't mind go with force induction but without nose .so from your experinces which way i should go ?

Forced induction, 500rwhp NA with the 5.7l for daily driver duty is extremely unrealistic.
Do you realize 500rwhp is enough to run 10s and need a rollbar? Valvesprings will be a likely annual maintenance item, launching hard with a T56 with that kind of power will make the 8.5" axle a weak link.

If you are realistic and say 400rwhp it should still be capable of 11s and going to be a LOT cheaper and easier.

At around 400 rwhp you will give bolt on 5.0's and SRT8's a very good run

I've beaten a 5.0 Mustang, both of us stock. It was a street kill though, and I don't think he was a very good driver.

boltons with a 100 shot should take care of most SRTs and 5.0s.

even with my car weight ? I can beat srt8 bolts-on 2014 also ?

so if I change my cam with middle cam and see what I can do with my car head is that should be enough ?

I can't understand your last 2 questions whatsoever, but yes a full weight, full bolts, cammed and tuned LS1 Camaro is enough to be a drivers race with a full bolt on 5.0 or SRT8

im thinking a cammed ls1 fbody beats those 2 cars but he has an impala which is considerably heavier.

Oh damn my bad, I missed that lol. Yeah in a big 4000 lb car like that you'll need heads or a small shot for sure

Honestly I don't think which cam I go with it yet but I don't want to put a custom or big cam because that should be a problem with the police , that why I' thinking about middle cam , for now it's all stock inside the engine . I need the space in my trunk that way I don't wan't nose .

If anyone try a good cam ( not big cam )& heads can tell me which one he used & where he gets it , how much it's cost him if he can remember . How much power he gets from that also .
