Default How loud is SLP LoudMouth II?

While I love my TransAm, it's quiet as a mouse. I was thinking about getting a LMII for it, but just how loud is it? I played a few youtube videos of it with various cams/headers, but of course YouTube->SoundCard->Headphones isn't the same as real life. Rammstein breathing fire and shaking your entire body isn't the same as playing a cellphone clip.

I've had an LT1 '95 Camaro with a straight-pipe before and that was pretty loud, but it sounded awful. I want loud, but good loud like a Z06 C6 Camaro. dB itself isn't that much of an issue, we have people riding Harley's in my neighborhood at 3AM.

For the record, car is stock minus the free ram air mod (and going to put an airlid on it soon.)

With stock headers and and y-pipe it won't be bad at all?

LM2 is still pretty loud, it was originally made from customer complaints of the rasp w/ the LM1. All depends on the person though, I ran a LM1 w/ a full exhaust and it didn't bother me one bit.

LMII on stock mani's and cats is not loud at all and sounds good. I just put one on my son's 5.3 Silverado and it sounded perfect (respectable but not obnoxious by any means).

In my experience, you'll need a true dual setup for that clean 'vette sound. The rasp comes from the y-pipe. I've always thought the LM series sounds decent, though.

Don't bother.

Look at this post, 3rd one in the thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ut-dumped.html

Get a Flowmaster dual 3" in and 3.5" out merge then put a bullet on the end with a turn down and enjoy. Then you will have an exhaust that will grow with car and not be restrictive.

I have LM2 on all stock front exhaust. Sounds good. Loud wise I'd call it medium. I've gotten so used to it now, but get compliments still, rumbles at cruising, yells pretty good opened up all the way. Overall very happy. U wont be disappointed, its not "too loud" its a good muscle car sound. Very little drone, radio can drown it out easily if u want.

I have passetter lt's/texas speed ory and slp lm2 . Not bad at idle/cruising. Loooouuuud when you floor it!!! I like my cars loud but wish at wot it was quieter just because it draws alot of unwanted attension! Flows good though. With y with high flow cats the rasp went away but still pretty loud at wot!

I had the LM1 with stock manifolds wasn't to bad. The minute I did LTS it was raspy, replaced the LM1 bullet with a Magnaflow bullet car sounds amazing.

That's one way to be loud but why not only be loud when you want with a quiet exhaust that is only loud when using the electric cutout?

An LMII will get peoples attention, but its far from my favorite sound in person. I have had 5 different setups on my TA. 1 magnaflow with stock manifolds and cats, 2 magnaflow with pacesetter LTs and high flow cats, 3 magnaflow with pacesetter LTs no cats, 4 kooks true duals with kooks 1-7/8 LTs no cats, and 5 Kooks true duals with kooks 1-7/8 headers and 2 stainless works 24 inch smooth tube mufflers.

My favorite, by far, was magnaflow with ory and 1-3/8 pacesetter LTs. It was a mean, deep, growl that was not obnoxious at idle, but really came alive over 2000 rpm. I would say add an e-cutout in the I pipe, so you can flip a switch to get louder, then quiet it down when you are driving next to a police car.
