Default MSD 2950 Atomic EFI LS Master Kit

I'm considering going with the MSD 2950 Atomic EFI LS Master Kit application on my LS1. Any members out there that have this application in use? Looking for comments both pro and con.

I will be running a 700 R4 behind the engine so trans control is not a concern.

Thanks.

Given the multiple challenges that many people have faced with a variety of MSD products, I certainly wouldn't use it. I'd take a look at one of the Holley systems instead. Purely subjective....

Are you referring to this part specifically, the LS1 in general, or MSD in general?

Because MSD is praised the nation over for their LT1 optispark and similar parts.

MSD in general....where I come from many find that it stands for My Spark Died. But - as I said before, it's subjective. And I tried to keep my feedback that way -- I wouldn't use it. Others may have a different opinion.

Specifically the MSD 2950 with LS1 fuel injector adapter kit 2955.

While it is suggested not to use it, which I can understand ones opinion, I am looking for specific circumstances both positive or negative as related to this system that may be helpful.

Thank you.

Understand....here's another bump. Perhaps there's someone who has used it who can chime in.

I purchased the set up for my swap. But haven't used it yet as I'm not done with my conversion.

I have however seen it in use personally from a guy in town. Nothing to knock at all. It does what it's told, super easy to set up.

Do some more research. There's a forum on msd s site where some have expressed thier own specific issues and found resolutions. It's a user help Forum with sparse factory feedback from a couple of msd employees.

From my mechanic, he asked around about it when I introduced the msd atomic kit to him and he had heard some great things from other installers. But that's just more second hand info.

Basically, it will work great if you are a Ron popeille type of guy (set it and forget it) if you want to play around with upgrades, turboing and tuning it will do all that too, but with a few less pro-life features you'd find on a holley dominator system

Default Curious

Interested in what your opinion of this kit is; particularly use in non stock application. Was the issue with it not working on the power adder a hardware, software, or "simply won't fit" issue?

Bump ! I would like feedback as well. I understand it's self tuning/learning so no $500 tune is required....kinda cool
