Default Intake Questions

Alright, so I'm a newbie to the ls1 world. I just bought my 1999 Z28. So I know the stock airbox is crap, but my question is this.....

I have heard many people talk about getting the K&N filter and SLP lid combo, is this the best way to go? Is this better than a CAI from K&N? Which one should I go with? Thanks to anyone that will help out an LS1 newb.

Well a lid is a lid is a lid. The K&N air filter is warlmy viewed by others but anyone that has had to replace a maf because of one looks at them as a waste of time and money. The lid is a definent must, the filter is more of your own choice.

k&n perimiter design sucks. get the cool blue it seals much better in the box, and get a lid not a k&n cai kit.
