Default Loud ticking right after removing intake manifold

2000 C5

Figured this was a little more unique than the typical " My car has been ticking for a while" threads.

I replaced the oil pressure sensor in the vette today, known to go bad. Pretty easy. The fuel rail/intake manifold was removed in the process.

Once back together, the top end exhibited loud ticking. Initial impressions are it's not mechanical, and it doesn't appear to be RPM dependent. Was driving the car an hour before the work was done - no previous signs of ticking or since I bought it a year ago. Only after I replaced the oil sensor. Now I can hear it inside the car with the windows up.

Any thoughts? Something I might have not reconnected? Evap stuff?

Did you remove the foam on the bottom of the intake manifold when you took it off?
