Loud, deep sound that you can feel in your chest when the car idles.

That is about 95% in the exhaust and 5% in everything else...so if you want a hard thumper look elsewhere besides heads.

That would be cam (with tune settings) and headers/exhaust. Yes, heads will make more power matched to the cam, but you don't need heads for sound and power, if I understand your goal correctly.

as far as a certain sound you want thats personal preference.

loud is one thing. you can run straight pipes with TDs and im sure itll be deep and loud as ****.

i run KOOKS with my OE SLP DD with a H/C setup and it works for me.

you might want to listen to different setups to decide whats best for you.

Nothing really done to the heads is going to make it thump harder. It's all pretty much in the exhaust.

You can have the most badass heads in the world sound quieter than stock and you can have the stock heads sound like pure hell all with the change of the exhaust.

But I agree, a cutout is what you want at least for the sound.

The best heads are ones like Mast, Trickflow, AFR, etc....certainly not LS6 or LS1 heads lol
