Default LS1 to LS2 swap, what do I need? 4th gen

Found out #7 cylinder is dead on my 01SS. Id like to upgrade to the LS2 6.0 for a little more C.I. and better engine. What parts do I need and what parts can I re-use. I have LS6 heads and cam that Id like to keep, can I do that, also can I use the LS6 intake. Any advice, I'm not doing a race car type build, just wanted a little more torque and a better engine, Thanks.

No replies? I'm interested in this too. From what I have read everything is interchangeable but I would like to verify. I have an LS1 in my 2000 TA that I am looking to rebuild into a stroker and would like to use a new LS2 block for the additional displacement also. I was wondering if the front and rear covers, valley tray cover, LS6 intake, water pump and all accessories would swap right over. If not what would be needed?

pretty much everything should bolt up. If you use an iron block you will have to drill and tap one of the holes for the alternator, but other than that they are pretty much a direct replacement

Did you ever go through with this conversion? In a similar situation myself, and I can't find much in the way of what I'd need to buy on top of the LS2

Google "LS1 to LS2" and a lot of good articles/posts will come up. Some on this site and some on other site.
