Default 5.3/243's milled - need tuned??

I recently swapped 243 heads that were milled .030 and cometic gaskets .040, and an ls6 manifold onto my 5.3.

I'm having a knock sensor code P0332 come up now. I've already replaced the knock sensors and harness and it did clear the code for a week or so. But I've only driven the truck on some test runs, maybe a total 10 miles, no tune, and it popped up again last night.

Could this be timing curve/fuel delivery issue and it just needs to be tuned? Could an upper exhaust leak near the collector cause knock sensor code?

Prior to the heads/intake swap the truck was tuned and ran perfect for about 2200 miles, so I had to go and mess with it.

I should also mention that I swapped in an LS6 cam when engine was first rebuilt, before heads and intake swap and I replaced the knock sensors with aftermarket ones...

I would definitely get it tuned.

I'd like to. I spoke with a dyno shop yesterday and they say they won't touch it until the issue is corrected.

I don't blame them.

I don't either. I ordered a set of AC Delco KS's and will replace the aftermarket one's I installed and check for wiring issues (crimped or cut) on the new harness and take it form there.

How does it drive? Is it misfiring or anything? I mean, if it's running ok then I'm not sure why he wouldn't touch it because maybe the codes are because it needs tuned? Changing the heads and intake definitely needs tuned....do you have a buddy that can plug a laptop in so you can data log it to see what it's doing?

It drives fine, but has some hesitation at different RPM's. Not like it's bogging down or anything but for example, at like 3500rpm's, I definitely can feel a boost in power then it levels off at 4500, and jumps again at 5K... I don't have access to data log unfortunately. Most of my buds still drink too much and smoke too much of them tweeds.
