New to the ls World
Hey all!
Just purchased myself a 2000 camaro ss M6. Im pretty new to the car world, ive wanted a 4th gen camaro ss since i first saw one. Im lookin to make it a street car. One thats loud and can back it up. Im on a reasonable budget, not the richest person in the world but im not afraid to spend on my baby. Some advice on which way to go with the engine and exhausts would be great! Thank you !

Fast toys ram air
SLP lid
ported throttle body
speed engineering 1"7/8 long tube headers
Catback exhaust. These range from mild - wild depends what you want
lower control arms
Tunnel mount torque arm
sub frame connectors
That is a good list of bolt on's.

Are there any mods already on the car ? it would be possible but unusual for a 16 year old M6 car to be totally stock.
On an M6 car the common advice is build the car from the rear forward , the 7.5" 10 bolt doesn't survive clutch dumps well with stock power never mind upgrades and sticky tires and as mentioned suspension upgrades to hook it and keep it from wheel hopping which tends to break stuff.

For catback exhausts, it is best if you can hear some setups in person. If not then search through YouTube to find setups that sound good to you (of course you have to take into account sound quality lost due to the camera). I myself have not upgraded much but am about to embark on several upgrades/maintenance items. I would definitely refresh the suspension and do any upgrades like springs and/or shocks. I agree with others who say to upgrade the suspension and chassis first. That is the path I am taking before I even think of tearing into the engine. But to each their own. Congrats on getting your car.
