2008 Vortec 5.3 Question Hello people. I finally made the decision to move away from SBC to LS Engine conversion on my 69 Pontiac. I love the freaking thing but since I am new, I am still learning thru the process. First let me tell everyone what I have:
2008 Vortec 5.3 from a Flex Fuel Suburban (46,000 miles)
Complete LSx serpentine bracket kit from ICT Billet.
Complete standalone Harness from PSI conversion
After market fuel rail.(kept the 60 psi factory injectors)
After Market sheetmetal intake manifold(might replace with LS2 style)
92MM throttle body
Non electronic TH350 with shift kit
Aftermarket headers with magnaflow
So let me start with where my problem is. I have many cold starts and no problem except that belt squeaks a bit. I just order a belt recommended by ICT Billet. Goodyear Gator 6PK1710. Anyways all of a sudden the car starts right up but has a rough idle and shakes while idle and when accelerate. It was not doing that. My guess could be vacuum leak, idle control or what? any thoughts????
