Default Replacing a knock sensor-

How-D Guys, I have a '98 SS and a check engine code P0332. Auto Zone says a Knock Sensor Circuit malfunction. (bank 2)
It really looks like quite a big job, being under the intake.
Anybody have a realistic guess @how much it might cost $$$ to have both replaced, and all vacuum lines?
I would appreciate any feed back,
Thanx

If you are mechanical at all it is pretty straight forward if you wanted to give it a go yourself

Thanks
If you're asking about color being stock, yes it is a factory color in 98 but not many manufactured this color.
If you're asking if my car is stock, no it's not.
- Converter
- Long Tube headers
- 3.73's
- Ls6 intake

As far as a shop doing the work of replacing your knock sensor, this is just a rough guess and if I'm wrong I hope someone corrects me but I would guess a shop would bill it out at 3½ - 4½ hrs labor ( does not take that long )+ parts so it could be anywhere from $375 - $450 for a shop to replace your knock sensor.

If ya lived in Minnesota I would gladly help for a case of beer lol so you might try the region section and see if someone is willing to help that is somewhat local to you if you don't want to attempt it on your own or flip a bill for the work at a shop.

Do it yourself its not a bad job at all. Just make sure you dont over torque the sensors you can get false knock that way. Also might want to replace the knock sensor harness while youre at it they tend to get brittle over time.

Very nice!
Thanx for the advise. Leaning toward doing it myself. I'd hate to think some less than careful tech might drop something in one of the ports and not mention it. Or not put correct torque on the plastic intake. ( maybe over torque and crack it) fortunately it's not my daily driver, so I can take my time with it in the garage.

Thanks for the reply! Good advise.
I'm leaning toward doing it myself.
