Default 5.3 Juankyard Build. Answer please.

Like it says im brand new to this.

Ive got an 02 5.3 from some guy off craigslist for $200. Block/Heads/Crank/Rods/Oilpan/NoSensors. I want to put it in my 92 Ext cab Silvy to take place of the 350. As of now my 350 isn't blowing up soon so I want to put the 5.3 on an engine stand and build it throughout the time. Ive done tons of research for the past 6 months before buying the engine. And I want opinions if the parts list I have will work as a DAILY and a weekend warrior.

do not open the engine until you have everything you need for it, then, plan carefully every step what you intend to do, then do it all in one shot when you have every part ready. Close the engine up fully when not working on it if there is any delay. Do not leave an open crankcase to the atmosphere for days/weeks sitting in a corner while you "build it"

use mostly OEM parts for longevity/reliability (oem cam grind, oem springs, looks like you already have that figured out)

True I made that mistake. My rebuild took a month, fortunately I didn't have any issues.

What are you responding to?

Telling you're planning on buying an LS engine, telling you have an LS7 one hour later and posting messages like this doesn't make you very creditable.
