Looking for power recommendations for my 02' SLP
I'm picking up an 02' SLP Camaro SLP car on Friday. I'd like to start modifying it right away. It has a couple of mods but nothing extreme. The car has 123K on the clock with the following mods..
SLP flowpac cold air intake
Skip shift eliminator
Long tube headers to 3" straight pipe exhaust
Torque Thrust II wheels
Brand new : Spec stage 1 clutch, throw out bearing, slave cylinder, speed bleeder, rear main seal and alternator...
What can I do to add really good power to the car without a blower or NOS? I'd like to build a new motor down the road. Just want something fast to play with for now. Looking for engine and rear end upgrade recommendations...

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I jumped the gun a little on the black SLP car. The previous ownerstudies version of nice was quite a bit different from mine. The car was really rough. However, there is some good news. I bought an 02' Trans Am yesterday. It has several of the upgrades that I wanted to do to the SLP car. The Trans Am has a new 6.0 in it. Parts are as follows...
Thompson Motorsports 370 short bock
TruckFlow 215 runner heads
TrickFlow 220-224@.50 cam
HV oil pump
Double row timing chain
LS6 intake
I believe everything else is pretty stock. Trans and rear end are stock with a set of 3.73 gears. The previous owner sent his computer in for a tune. I'd like for the cam to be a little more aggressive, so I will probably change that. I will probably upgrade the rear end as well. The car runs good, but not like I think it should. The previous owner bought the complete TrickFlow top end kit that is supposed to be a 500hp kit. Doesn't feel like 500hp. Every once in a while, the car will pop at an idle and will also pop when you stand into it. I'm thinking it's got a lean fuel issue. Hopefully a good tune will help out. Any of you guys have any suggestions? I appreciate the feedback.
