Gen III 4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0 Castings Location Quick Review The video is a quick walk around actual 5.3 LM7 & 6.0 LQ9 LS platform based engines pointing out the casting locations, so you can find/decode factory castings & some laser etched numbers. A borescope was also used to look inside the cylinder at the top of the piston to determine it being "cupped". 4.8L used "Flat top", 5.3 used "Cupped Top"
