You want a cam more geared to a 6-speed or your current auto? You ask what gear is best but some of that will be determined by which trans you decide to run

I would like cam that would work well with both if I can.

Your best bet is to call the big cam vendors on here. If it were me, with that stall, stock gears, and stock heads I'd probably opt for something in the high 220's to low 230's intake duration, and low to mid 230's exhaust duration.

Give Martin a call @Smallwood race development. He did a cam for me last year and I made 490whp/450wtq.

Hey you newbie! You probably will get a better response in the internal engine section. You have to decided what you really want to do with the car. .230x .230x is a nice size for a ls1 stock cid.
