I have posted before that my basically stock 00 ws6 will only run 13.81@101 mph. I thought a stock one should run around 13.5@105mph? The track I was running at is Thundervalley raceway in Noble, Oklahoma. The night I ran, it was hot and the humidity was high. I kind of think that had a little to do with it, because there was 2 other ws6 there with one running 13.78 and the other was running 14.2. Also, there was a 2002 z28 6-speed running 14.3. I was just wondering if my car was a lemon or should I be running 13.8?

That can make a huge difference. I have heard of people running 14s w/ several bolt ons at high altitudes. So considering that all the other cars ran the same i would say altitude, maybe track conditions and other weather conditions would be ur problem.
You should definetly be running better than that. I run 13.33@108.8 w/ mods in sig.

blackbird, the heat has a bit to do with it, but the major factor is the humidity. I went to the track twice, with 4-6 runs each time when it was humid, and the best I could get out of both days at the track was a 13.98 at like 101-103 (don't remember), but every single other run was 14.0-14.2 at 101-103 m.p.h.
About a month ago, I went to the track at their night sessions, and there was no humidity and the air was slightly cool and crisp. I could FEEL that the car was pulling stronger, and the slips showed: 13.8, 13.7, 13.6, 13.6, 14.0 (missed 4th and coasted), and 13.6. Each time was near or at 104.xx m.p.h.
Now obviously the slips are more technical than that, but I remember my times that night, and in the order they came because I was so excited. Now granted, those times were only my third time ever at the track dragging my car, and those were with JUST the lid, filter, and !MAF screen. I didn't have my LoudMouth on yet (I had a horribly restrictive, smaller-than-stock-piping, CRUSH-BENT catback on that the previous owner had made for him just for some shitty tips and an unknown-branded muffler), so I know that my times will drop even more yet, and I still have major room for improvement on my launching. My best 60 ft yet is only a 2.1.
Just remember, it's not even worth it to drag race on humid days/nights. Waste of time, gas, and wear and tear on the car, and being pissed off. From now on I only plan on racing at night because the conditions are best, or atleast on colder days.
So if you ran a 13.8, I'd put money on the table that if you race next time at night with little/no humidity and cool temps, you'll be seeing mid 13's EASILY, very possibly low 13's. Just keep your chin up, scope out the temps/conditions beforehand, and practice launching.

When you say u raced a cobra and he should have smoked ur ***, was it an 03 cobra or just a cobra. Because only an 03 cobra should and would have smoked mine, your and a lot of others asses. Unless the driver was aweful or the car was broken. lol sad but true. However if it was 01 and down and if he was stock you could have beat him.
