Engine Oil Qestion. The Z just hit the 100,000 mile 
. This is the 1st oil change I'm doing since the big event, I want to start using Mobile1. My qestion is should I use 10w30 or stick to 5w30. Keep in mind I live in Southern California so it gets hot.

I use Mobil1 10W-30 right now in NJ. Not as hot as Cali, but our summers do get pretty hot. And winters get cold. The oil is great, except my engine has a slight imperfection, she likes to drink oil!! I did a small analysis on how much oil it drank in 5000 miles and I came up with about 2.5-3 quarts!! So I'll be switching over to the Mobil1 0W-40 since its heavier and was recommended by Patman (he's an oil guru).

Cali weather means no cold starts and hot summer temps. As others have mentioned go with the M1 0W-40, or you can mix your own brew of 4 qts 10W-30 and the rest 15W-50.
