Default 2007 5.3 upgrade 2012 5.3 lsx?

I have 2007 z71 suburban with 5.3 with 60e trans with 189,000 and my stabliltrack, traction control and engine light on. It taking in oil and idling rough at low rpm and low power. I've checked the throttle body by using one off my o7 avalanche and replaced the intake gasket. Was better but after 15min back to square one. I'm thinking it valves, rings and possible cam. This motor is AMF. I'm looking at. 2012 lsx motor with 50,000 comes complete with all wiring comp, 80e trans. Just wonder if it would work?
Looking for any suggestion or advice.
thanks
scott

ok man are you getting the computer with it, because if not the 5.3 should have a 5 pin vvt plug which you should have if you have the new body style, but it wont if not. Also the trans should be a different plug, the cheapest thing you can do is just call someone who works on ecus and they can answer your questions. I used my-efi and he knows his stuff.
