6.125 rods...What pistons to use????

6.125 rods...What pistons to use???? Hello all...I'm going to upgrade my rods and I've been seeing that going to 6.125in rods seems to be the thing to do since 6.098 rods are a pain to find and seem to be more expensive. So my question is what pistons do y'all recommend? I'm not going for huge power so a cast piston will do. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

You're probably not going to find any cast pistons for a 6.125" rod. The cast/hypereutectic pistons are meant to be a stock replacement, so they're going to be meant to be used with a stock 6.098" rod and a .944" pin. The 6.125" rods are usually meant for a .927" pin.
Take a look at Scat I Beams; they're cheap, have better bolts than stock, and you can get them for a .944" press fit pin which will work with virtually any of the stock replacement type pistons.
If you have the budget for a forged piston, I would recommend the Scat I Beam with a .927" pin and then a Wiseco forged piston in whatever dish/dome to get the compression ratio that you're looking for.
