Question times updated

went to the track tonight. first time since ive been with the new cam...no tuning and i ran a 13.0 at 108 and at 107 with 2.0 60' its better than my 13.27 at 108 with 2.1 60' but the mph has gone nowhere...whats the deal?? the mods are in my sig..

Are you still running street tires? If you are then you probably aren't able to get traction worth a damn.

How did the weather compare to before? Street tires? The ET dropped ~0.3. That seems about right for an untuned cam swap. You should get it tuned, of course, I'm sure that will be a popular/obvious opinion. You should also get sticky tires, but then the stock ten bolt becomes questionable.

i think it was slightly warmer than the first time i went out... yes i am still on the street tires, but that still doesnt explain why my mph has gone up almost none...

Lower density altitude perhaps.

Stock rev limit? You have to be able to shift higher to take advantage of the higher powerband.

i do have the stock rev limiter...how much of a difference would that make and how high should i set the limiter to? cam specs are 224/230, .567/.572, 112LSA

If you knew where your power peaked then you would know where to set the limiter. I think you will be wanting to rev it to 6400-6600.

the cam was custom grinded so im not sure where the power band would be...

You will ahve to have it dynoed to see where the powerband is at, its unique to each car.


While we are here why dont you tell everyone what you ran in my car??
