Its not the thermostat, so why is it overheating
It is actually my girlfriend's 91 Corolla, so I hope I don't get in trouble for posting in here. I just need help pretty fast(it is in the 90s here), and didn't know where else to look. I just changed the thermostat yesterday and she is still overheating. Any ideas?

Run the motor with the radiator cap off or squeeze the hoses with the cap off. When ever i flush or refill my system i let the motor run with the cap off. You will see the trermostat open and fluid circulate. Once you go through one circulation it should be full with no air.

Coolant mixture/oil sending unit?
If the oil-sending unit's diaphram is punctured from being worn out, it may not be pumping enough oil? It's at about that age and poor coolant mixture along with the friction from lack of enough oil, well, coolant mixture could contribute to that, as well ... especially in 90+ temps.
