Default can't get my money back

I am usually a very patient man,but this is ridiculous.I ordered a MAF mter from QUARTER MILE PERFORMANCE on 12-26 03(yes the day after last christmas)Around March i grew tired of waiting so i call these people up and ask about my order. They said they have my order on record but are having a problem with there supplier. So I wait a couple more months-nothing,about june 1 i call again, same response so I tell them to cancel my order and refund my visa account, they say OK takes about 2 weeks. On about July 5 i call again and tell them i"m pissed and they have 10 days to refund my money or I"ll take action.Well its july 16 and not a word and no money back.Anyone have dealings with these people and what should I do now.

Call your credit card company and tell them to cancel the sale.

Can't, Credit card companies won't do anything that far back in time, at least as far as I know. I think 6 months is as far as they go.

Might want to post this in the sponsor feedback section, although QMP is no longer one you might get some more feedback.

180 days is usually the limit on chargebacks.

I don't know... being as the merchandise was never
delivered, you might tell the charge card company
that you suspect fraud... if they don't get you your
money, they might at least go shake the tree for you.

Sorry to hear. I stopped buying from them after they took a month to send my lid.

Regardless of the time limitation, call your credit card company to stop/retrieve payment. At this point it sounds like you are not going to get your product. Complain to the credit card company. If they say that you are over the time allowed, explain your story and possibly ask them to treat is as fraud.

You are a much more paintient person than I. I'd be calling them every 2 weeks and cancel my order after 2 months. Unless, I was told upfront about a long wait. At which point I would tell them that I wouldnt pay until the product was available.

FWIW if your credit card company won't help you, remind them its illegal to charge the card for goods not delivered. You can also file a claim with the Federal Trade Commission -- they take these issues pretty seriously, and it means harsh penalties for the vendor. The FTC laws state they cannot charge your card for an item they do not have in stock, unless its a special order. If it IS a special order, they have 30 days to notify you (they must initiate the contact) and give you the option to cancel your order.

Yikes! I am suprised you waited so long. If it wasnt at my door in three weeks I would have asked for my money back!
