Default Idle problems and O2 and EGR SES codes

SES light came on yesterday. About the same time as the 2000 SS started running rough and acting like it wants to die at idle. I took the car to AutoZone for a free 'check engine light' diagnosis (I don't have my own code reader). They told me the engine is coding as an O2 sensor problem in both banks of the engine. The guy suggested removing and cleaning the O2 sensors, and also removing and cleaning the EGR valve. Now, I'm a pretty handy guy, but I don't have a clue where the sensors or EGR valve are. Questions:

1) Where are the O2 sensors? Are there two of them? Are they hard to remove and replace?
2) Is cleaning the o2 sensors a viable option?
3) Where is the EGR valve? Can it be cleaned.
4) Has anyone experienced similar problems?

I've only had my 2000 SS about 4 months, so I'm kind of a newbie to this forum. Thanks for any help.
